Making an Audio Book for my little one.
So I’ve thinking about it quite a bit and every time I listen to a book on CD or tape, yes I said tape, I think to myself I can do some of this myself. My little one is blind so we read a lot to her or let her listen to audiobooks, she’s 6 so it’s only kids books. Every time I wander past Barnes & Noble or Border’s, I have to venture in and pick up a book for her. On top of that others do the same. So needless to say, she has a large collection of books. I decided today to set up some of my recording gear. I thought, “how cool would it be to act out some of her books and record our voices will doing so. Along with recording our voices, I figured I could spice things up a little bit more with adding some real world sounds; cars, animals, music. Everything is set up and time to begin. I will post some samples once I have completed them.
My set up consists of:
MacBoo Pro 2.16Ghz, 3GB RAM, 120GB HD
M-Audio Fast Track Pro
CAD M179 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
(2) Yorkville YSM1P Active Bi-Amped Studio Monitors
(A little bit of my set up, nothing glamourous as space is an issue)
